ERCEF (Cefaclor Monohydrate) is an off-white to pinkish white free flowing granules which turns to pinkish-red suspension upon reconstitution and has a characteristic taste of strawberry. It is also widely distributed in the body. The plasma elimination half-life of cefaclor is about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

DOSAGE:

Children:
1 year to 5 years: ½ teaspoon (2.5 mL) every 8 hours or as prescribed by the physician.
Over 5 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) every 8 hours
Indication
Treatment of susceptible infections including upper and lower respiratory tract infections and urinary tract infections.
