Formulation and Dosage
FORMULATION:
Each ml contains:
Salbutamol (as sulfate), BP …………………………………………………… 1 mg
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:Adults and Children: 2.5 mg to 5 mg via a nebulizer, to be repeated up to 4 times daily or as prescribed by a doctor.
DIRECTIONS FOR DILUTION:
Salbutamol ampoules are intended to be used undiluted. However, if prolonged delivery time is desired, (more than 10 minutes) dilution using sterile normal saline as a diluent may be required. Dilution with and equal amount of 0.9% Sodium Chloride solution may be done. Discard the remaining solution in the nebulizer after each treatment.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
The product should be used with a respirator or nebulizer only, under the direction of a physician. Salbutamol ampoules must only be used by inhalation, to be breathed in through the mouth, and must not be injected or swallowed.
1. To open the ampoules, twist off the cap.
2. Squeeze the content into the reservoir of the nebulizing chamber.
3. Discard ampoules after use.

INDICATIONS:
- Suitable for the management of asthma attack in patient with obstructive airway disease like bronchial asthma, emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
- Used in the management of severe bronchospasm unresponsive to conventional treatment.
